A great way to make french fries at home that almost reaches the flavor and crispy texture of traditional fries while avoiding the unhealthy amount of oil, the inconvenience of deep frying, and messy oil disposal/cleaning.

Preparation List for Low-Calorie Air Fryer Fries:

  • Servings: 3
  • Active Time: 30 min
  • Inactive Time: 20-25 min
  • Ingredients:
    • 3 russet potatoes skinned cut into thin fries
    • 2 tablespoons(30ml) olive oil
    • Salt

Low-Calorie Air Fryer Fries Recipe

  • Prepare Potatoes. Cut potatoes into thin fries (see below picture). Soak them in just enough water to cover them for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes has passed, take the fries out and lay them on a paper towel and pat them dry.
  • Fry Potatoes. Preheat the air fryer to 350F(175C), when it is ready, add the fries to the air fryer and drizzle them with 2 tablespoons(30ml) of olive oil. Cook the fries in the air fryer for a total of 25 minutes, shaking the fries every 5 minutes or so.
  • Salt the fries. Remove fries from air frier and then add salt to the fries while still hot.
